Here are some easy and healthy recipes for refreshing drinks, the ingredients of which will not only quench your thirst during the hot summer days, but will also have a beneficial effect on your skin and hair.
Peach juice with basil
2 peaches
cup raw sugar
cup water
2-3 fresh basil leaves
1 cup lemon juice
Put water, sugar and basil in a suitable container and boil. Strain the liquid after cooling. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and the chopped peaches, and homogenize the mixture.
Beauty tip:
While preparing this delicious drink, take a slice of peach to take some care of the skin, as well. Applied to the face, this juicy fruit tightens pores, hydrates, smoothes wrinkles, restores damaged tissues and heal small wounds.
Pineapple smoothie with coconut
- ½ small fresh pineapple
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 cup orange juice
- juice of ½ lime
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons coconut flakes
Peel the pineapple and make a puree in a blender along with avocados. Add the rest of the products and grind them to homogeneity.
Beauty tip:
Rub your face with a slice of pineapple and rinse it after no more than five minutes. The alpha-hydroxy acids in the composition of exotic fruit will help to reduce dark circles under the eyes and signs of skin aging.
Mango Lassi
- ½ container of yoghurt
- 1 coffee cup milk
- 1 mango fruit
- honey
- ice
Make a homogeneous mixture from all the products and add a few ice cubes. Optionally, you can crush the ice using a blender.
Beauty tip:
Prepare for yourself a wonderful homemade hair conditioner by mixing a piece of the strained mango with a spoon of yogurt and an egg yolk. Mangoes are rich in vitamins A and E, which are extremely useful in the fight against dandruff. They improve blood circulation in the scalp and thus hair growth, soften the hair and give it a shiny look.
Homemade lemonade
- ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- sugar, honey or stevia to taste
- spray of geranium
- ice
Mix the basic ingredients and mix. Add ice and enjoy the freshness of your homemade drink.
Beauty tip:
Lemon juice is great for softening calloused cuticles. Mix freshly squeezed juice with honey and stir vigorously. Pour the liquid in a convenient container and dip your fingertips into it for about 5 minutes. Then rinse your hands and carefully remove the cuticles with your usual manicure tools.
Pink shake
- 2 cups soy or rice milk
- 1 cup raspberries
- sugar if desired
Mix the raspberries, sugar and half of them milk and beat until smooth. Spill the mixture into several bowls and add the remaining milk to get a marble effect. For even greater enjoyment, cool the raspberry smoothie before consumption.

Rich in vitamins, essential fatty acids and other nutrients, the small raspberry fruits hide huge benefits for the skin. Mash several berries and smear your face with them to stimulate the production of elastin and collagen, to eliminate free radical damage and to reduce inflammation.
Soda with mint and lime
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1 small bottle of sparkling water
- few leaves of fresh mint
- ice
Pour the lime juice and the soda in a tall glass. Add mint leaves and a few ice cubes. Decorate with a slice of lime and enjoy this slightly acidic but incredibly invigorating drink.
Beauty tip:
Mint is rich in vitamin A and salicylic acid, which makes it extremely beneficial to young skin. Apply a mixture of finely chopped leaves on your face for 15-20 minutes. Thus, you will easily cope with excessive oiliness, blackheads and acne.
Fresh juice of citrus
- 1 orange
- 1 grapefruit
- 1 lemon
- ice
- sugar
Squeeze the fruits and mix them. For a better summer mood grab a cocktail glass and dip the rim in the juice and then in sugar to obtain a halo of sweet crystals.
Beauty tip:
Revive dry and damaged hair with a mask of orange, grapefruit and lemon. Moisten your hair with citrus juice, wrap it with a cloth and wait about half an hour before rinsing. Do not throw away the peels of the fruits, because they also can be helpful. Leave them for some time on a piece of newspaper to dry, and then grind them. Store the dust in sealable container and use it as a body scrub under the shower.
